Hanoi - the capital of Vietnam, is one of the most ancient capitals in the world with long-lasting traditions, history, and culture like the Old Quarter and Citadel. Hanoi attracts tourists with the ancient look of typical streets and the outstanding relics from the Temple of Literature, the new buildings boldly marked by the French colonial era such as the Sofitel Metropole Hotel to French Quarter, the Opera House, One Pillar Pagoda. Like most parts of Vietnam, Hanoi has a tropical climate. The summer lasts from May to September with heavy rains and the average temperature is about 29ºC. The winter lasts from November to March next year with an average temperature of 15ºC. 

The airplane is the fastest and most convenient way to get to Hanoi from other famous destinations in Vietnam such as Saigon, Vung Tau, Da Nang, Hoi An, Hue, Nha Trang or Dalat. To get around Hanoi, you can choose the bus, taxi, bicycle, motorcycle, or cyclo. 

Being the most famous destination in Vietnam, Hanoi offers a wide range of accommodation for tourists from luxury hotels to the budget ones. 

Hanoi cuisine is also a highlight of this city of which the most popular dishes are Pho, bread, green sticky rice, etc.
